Keep Wales tidy

MONDAY 16th SEPTEMBER 2013  - RIVER CLEARANCE EVENT AT MARINE COLLIERY SITE AND EBBW FACH RIVER.

As part of our annual Tidy Wales Week, there will be a river clearance at  the above site and you are invited to come along and take part.

The event will run from approximately 10.00 – 15.00 hrs and all necessary equipment will be provided, however if attendees have their own wellies/waders please bring with them with you. All three events will be of a physical nature in and around water and on uneven ground so please ensure you are capable of the work and come in sturdy clothing with sensible footwear. Drinks and a packed lunch recommended.

OCTOBER 2013 - BLAENAU GWENT ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS

One of the recipients at this years awards ceremony was Mervyn Robbins, chairman of Cwm Community Care, Mervyn received a richly deserved 'ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMPION -LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT' award, the photographs below show Mervyn with his certificate and wood sculpture.

REMEMBRANCE SERVICE - SATURDAY 9th November 2013.

The second remembrance service was held at the miners statue in Cwm on Saturday  9th November,  there were approximately 30 people in attendance .
